Pacific Forum Line (PFL) will return NPDL Tahiti to its AUSPAC service following the completion of maintenance work on the vessel. NPDL Tahiti will replace Capitaine Tupaia, which temporarily operated on the AUSPAC service. Capitaine Tupaia will now return to PFL’s NZPAC service. The carrier has announced a short phase-in schedule to support the transition and restore its regular rotations. NPDL Tahiti returns to AUSPAC As part of the transition, Capitaine Tupaia voyage 2618N will complete a northbound rotation to Suva. The vessel will discharge any Australia-bound cargo at Lautoka before leaving the AUSPAC service and returning to NZPAC. NPDL Tahiti voyage 2618S will then phase into the AUSPAC service at Suva on 26 August. It will operate a shortened southbound rotation covering Suva, Lautoka, Port Vila and Sydney. Regular sailings to resume Following the phase-in voyage, PFL’s published schedule includes Takutai Chief voyage 2619 and NPDL Tahiti voyage 2620. Takutai Chief is scheduled to call Sydney on 26 August, Melbourne on 29 August and Brisbane on 2 September. The vessel will then continue to Noumea, Lautoka and Suva. NPDL Tahiti voyage 2620 is scheduled to begin its next rotation from Sydney on 9 September. Calls at Melbourne, Brisbane, Noumea, Lautoka and Suva will follow. PFL said the updated voyage details will appear in its next schedule publications. PFL moves back towards regular rotations The latest change forms part of PFL’s efforts to restore its normal AUSPAC and NZPAC operations. The carrier acknowledged that changes to the two services have caused schedule and cargo disruption in recent months. PFL said it has continued to inform customers as schedules evolved and is now transitioning back to its regular rotations. The return of NPDL Tahiti follows the completion of its maintenance programme, while Capitaine Tupaia’s return to NZPAC will support the restoration of that service’s normal 21-day rotation.
