Pacific Forum Line (PFL) will return its NZPAC service to its normal 21-day rotation following the return of Capitaine Tupaia. The carrier said the restored service will provide weekly calls at Apia and fortnightly calls at Pago Pago and Nuku’alofa. Capitaine Tupaia will phase back into the NZPAC service at Lautoka on 28 August 2026. PFL has outlined several temporary schedule changes to support the transition from its current two-loop system. Capitaine Tupaia returns to NZPAC As part of the phase-in process, NPDL Tahiti voyage 2629 will operate only a northbound rotation to Lautoka. The vessel will then leave the NZPAC service and return to PFL’s AUSPAC service. Cargo requiring onward connections will be discharged at Suva. Capitaine Tupaia voyage 2629S will then join the NZPAC service at Lautoka. The vessel will operate a shortened southbound rotation covering Lautoka, Suva, Pago Pago and Tauranga. PFL said the shortened rotation will allow Capitaine Tupaia to meet its scheduled berth window. Meanwhile, Neptune Matua voyage 2630S will omit Pago Pago. It will continue to call at Apia and Nuku’alofa. Cargo destined for Pago Pago aboard Neptune Matua 2630 and NPDL Tahiti 2629 will instead be transferred to Capitaine Tupaia 2629S at Suva. NPDL Tahiti sailing cancelled PFL also confirmed that NPDL Tahiti voyage 2631 will be cancelled as part of the phase-out process. However, the carrier said the cancellation will not affect weekly sailings from New Zealand. The transition follows several months of adjustments to PFL’s NZPAC and AUSPAC networks, which resulted in schedule and cargo disruption. PFL said it has continued to update customers as schedules changed and is now moving back towards its regular service rotations. Updated voyage schedules will be included in the carrier’s upcoming schedule publications.
