Maersk has announced updated configurations for its AC1 and AC2 services connecting Far East Asia with Latin America’s Pacific coast, as part of the carrier’s Modular Network strategy aimed at strengthening regional connectivity. The revised AC2 service will link Far East Asia with the West Coast of Latin America through the rotation Ningbo – Tanshan – Busan – Lazaro Cardenas – Manzanillo (Mexico). The weekly service will begin with voyage 633E, departing Ningbo on 11 August 2026. At the same time, Maersk will introduce a dedicated West Coast Shuttle, connecting Lazaro Cardenas with additional ports along the west coast of South America to expand regional coverage. The carrier is also updating its AC1 service, which connects Far East Asia with the West Coast of South America. The revised weekly rotation will be Shanghai – Yokohama – Manzanillo (Mexico) – Lazaro Cardenas – Buenaventura – Balboa. The updated AC1 service will also commence with voyage 633E, departing Shanghai on 20 August 2026. Maersk said the network changes are intended to enhance connectivity between Asia and Latin America while providing customers with improved service coverage and more flexible cargo routing options.
