Maersk will reduce its Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) on the B1S trade from the Indian Subcontinent to the West Coast of Latin America. The surcharge will decrease by US$500 across all listed container types from the Price Calculation Date of 10 October 2026. The revised charges cover shipments to the West Coast of South America, the Caribbean and Central America. Origin region 20-foot dry 40-foot dry, high cube and 45-foot 40-foot high-cube reefer Northwest India and Pakistan US$3,250 US$3,050 US$3,450 South and East India US$3,450 US$3,450 US$4,050 Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives US$2,350 US$2,150 US$3,950 The revised rates also apply to out-of-gauge (OOG), shipper-owned (SOC) and non-operating reefer (NOR) containers. Rates for 40-foot flat racks, open tops and NOR equipment will match those for 40-foot dry containers. Northwest India covers Mundra, Jawaharlal Nehru, Hazira and Pipavav. South and East India covers Ennore, Chennai, Kattupalli, Tuticorin, Visakhapatnam, Kolkata, Cochin, Mangalore and Haldia.
