Damen Shipyards Group has signed a contract with Greece-based Aegean Tugs Shipping Company for the delivery of an ASD Tug 2811, with delivery scheduled for the first quarter of next year at Kalymnos in the Dodecanese region, the home port of the Greek operator. The ASD Tug 2811 measures 28.57 metres in length with a beam of 11.43 metres and delivers 60 tonnes of bollard pull, combining compactness with the power and manoeuvrability required for modern port operations. The vessel is already under construction and nearing completion. Prior to delivery, Damen will customise the proven standard design to meet the client’s specific requirements, including the installation of FiFi 1 firefighting equipment, a towing winch and other modifications required by the Greek flag state. Peter Anssems, Damen Sales Manager, expressed gratitude for the order, describing it as an underscoring of the trust and cooperation between the two companies and expressing commitment to developing the relationship further through the construction period and beyond.
