A&A multiprime correspondent brings us the update below:A magnitude 7.4 earthquake occurred at approximately 07:34 local time (12:34 GMT) on Monday, 10 August 2026, with its epicentre near San José del Palmar, Chocó department, on Colombia's Pacific coast — approximately 150 km from Buenaventura, at an estimated depth of approximately 96 km.The Colombian Maritime Authority (DIMAR), through its National Tsunami Warning Centre, together with UNGRD, has confirmed that there is no tsunami threat to the Colombian Pacific coast as a result of this earthquake. No evacuation of coastal areas has been ordered on this basis.As at the time of this notice, there is no published official statement from the Regional Port Society of Buenaventura (SPRBUN) or other terminal operators confirming structural damage to berths, cranes, warehousing or other port infrastructure.
