Marine construction contractor Ocean Installer, part of Moreld, has been awarded a sizeable project from a UK subsidiary of Hibiscus Petroleum for work on the Teal West development. The contract was awarded by Anasuria Hibiscus UK as part of a new frame agreement for offshore construction. The Teal West development in the Central North Sea comprises a subsea tie-back to the Anasuria FPSO and the scope of work on the project includes the installation of a manifold, flowlines, umbilicals, associate risers, tie-in, and protection for all. Engineering will begin immediately while offshore operations will begin in the fall of 2025. This project is considered a key step towards extending the production lifespan of the FPSO. The project will be executed from Ocean Installer’s Aberdeen office and will prioritise local suppliers. The Teal West oilfield is located approximately 155 km northeast of Peterhead and 87 km west of the UK-Norway median, at a water depth of 90 m. The Anasuria FPSO is located roughly 4 km southeast of the proposed Teal West drill centre and 127 km east of Aberdeen. The FPSO was installed and commissioned in 1996 and is operated by Anasuria Operating Company, a 50/50 joint venture between Ping Petroleum and Hibiscus Petroleum.
