Norwegian offshore vessel operator Sea1 Offshore has announced it would be signing management agreements for all six anchor handler vessels owned by Viking Supply Ships. Viking Supply Ships currently owns the Magne Viking, Odin Viking, Loke Viking, Njord Viking, Brage Viking, and Andreas Viking AHTS vessels The company believes that the transfer of the vessel management to Sea1 Offshore will be completed during October 2024 and is subject to final documentation. “The initiative is expected to result in substantial cost-optimizing effects to the benefit of all shareholders,” Sea1 Offshore explained in an Oslo Bors filing. Of the six vessels, the Njord Viking is chartered by TotalEnergies in the UK and is expected to be free by mid-August. The Brage Viking will be free in mid-October and is chartered to ExxonMobil while the Andreas Viking will be free from its charter with Shell Australia in late March 2025.
