Skuld and Asta Syndicate Board are pleased to announce that Mike Bennett will be confirmed as active underwriter on Syndicate 1897, following his interim appointment in early March. Bennett joined Skuld, a leading marine insurance provider, in 2011 and was deputy active underwriter when the Syndicate was launched in the same year. Before Skuld he was at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group and has been in the insurance market for 37 years. Douglas Jacobsohn, Skuld CEO, said: "We are very happy to confirm Mike's appointment and I and the board have complete confidence that he is the right person to help us to grow our Lloyd's business as part of our wider diversification strategy.
