Maersk will revise its Congestion Fee Destination (CFD) for cargo moving from Europe to Conakry, Guinea, with the updated charges taking effect from 1 August 2026 until further notice. The revised surcharge will apply to shipments originating from a broad range of European, Mediterranean, North African and Central Asian countries destined for Conakry (GNCKY). The updated tariff has been set at: US$1,750 per 20-foot container US$2,500 per 40-foot container US$2,500 per 45-foot container Maersk said the surcharge will be applied based on the applicable Price Calculation Date (PCD) for non-spot bookings. The fee will follow the freight payer, while spot bookings are not subject to the surcharge. The carrier added that the revised CFD will remain in effect until further notice and is subject to its standard regulatory and contractual conditions.
