CLARKSONS PLATOU HELLAS – SnP WEEKLY BULLETIN in Weekly Shipbuilding Reports 13/02/2026 Tankers and Bulkers continue to benefit from overall firm market sentiment, supporting steady levels of secondhand activity across the board. Buyers remain engaged, with transactions materializing in both larger and mid-sized segments as confidence in earnings and asset values persists. On the dry side, Chinese interests have been particularly active in the Capesize segment. Meanwhile, the tanker market maintains solid momentum across all sectors, with strong buying appetite from Far Eastern and Greek buyers. Dry Cargo On the Capesize front, activity has remained firm, with several notable transactions concluded during the week. The scrubber-fitted STAR SCARLETT (ABT 175K DWT, 2014, JINHAI, SCRUBBER) was acquired by Chinese interests at around USD 36 m. The enbloc deal concluded at around USD 668 m and includes attached time-charter agreements back to SK Shipping. C/o Euronav have sold the sister VLCCs ILMA & INGRID (ABT 318K DWT, 2012, HYUNDAI HI) to S. Korean interests reportedly generating a combined capital gain of USD 98.2 m.
