Danish fuel giant and one of the largest marine fuel suppliers, Bunker Holding, is expanding its portfolio by adding physical LNG and liquefied biomethane to Bunker One’s offering. Bunker One is set to launch LNG bunker supply in northwest Europe as of January 2025. The newly established entity Bunker One LNG will manage the physical LNG fuel portfolio, and will be headed by Michael Behmerburg. The business has chartered the 10,000 cu m LNG bunker vessel, Coral Fraseri, from Dutch gas shipping company Anthony Veder and is currently in the process of securing bunker permits which will cover key ports in northwest Europe. The move to include physical supply of LNG and LBM as part of Bunker Holding’s fuel offering, builds on the company’s successful activities supplying LNG through third parties, said Valerie Ahrens, senior director of new fuels and carbon markets at Bunker Holding, adding that fossil LNG can offer up to 23% in greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions compared to conventional fuels and accompanies shipping’s transition to a multi-fuel future. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsDenmark
