Modern eco-design vessels are drawing particularly strong interest and achieving premium levels, while older, non-eco tonnage is also maintaining liquidity, successfully attracting buyers and securing solid prices. Dry Cargo In the Kamsarmax segment, after inviting offers on Monday, the MG MERCURY (ABT 85K DWT, 2016, IMABARI, BEAM 35 M) was acquired by European interests at levels in the low USD 28’s m. On the Panamax front, the BARWON (ABT 78K DWT, 2015, SASEBO, ECO ME) invited offers earlier this week, attracting interest from up to 5 buyers, and has now been reported sold for xs USD 26 m. On the geared segment, we understand that a 2021 Japanese Ultramax was sold for region USD 37 m, whilst the Supramax FIGEAC (ABT 53K DWT, 2011, CHENGXI) was sold for a price close to USD 12 m, basis surveys promptly due. Meanwhile, the older SOMNATH (ABT 55K DWT, 2005, OSHIMA) was sold at region USD 9 m. Tankers The Handy MR CHRYSOPIGI (ABT 38K DWT, 2006, GUANGZHOU) was sold at USD 9 m, basis surveys promptly due.
