MSC has expanded its Seahorse intra-Far East service by adding new port calls in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia while increasing vessel deployment to maintain its weekly schedule. Under the revised rotation, the service now includes Shenzhen (Shekou), Singapore, Pasir Gudang and Patimban, while Xiamen has been removed from the itinerary. To accommodate the longer voyage, MSC has increased the fleet assigned to the service from four to five vessels, each with a capacity of around 2,800 TEU. The updated rotation is: Shanghai – Ningbo – Shenzhen (Shekou) – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Patimban – Pasir Gudang – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Shanghai. The network changes expand MSC’s intra-Asia coverage while strengthening connections between China and key manufacturing and transshipment hubs across Southeast Asia.
