Gulftainer has introduced its new Sajaa Bonded Dry Port, aiming to simplify cargo movement into the United Arab Emirates through faster customs procedures, lower logistics costs and expanded storage options. The new service, with rates effective from 1 August 2026, connects Khorfakkan Port with the Sajaa inland facility through a fully bonded transport corridor. According to Gulftainer, customers using the service will receive 12 days of free storage for dry containers. The company also says the solution offers faster inland customs clearance and can reduce logistics costs by up to 20%. Located in Sharjah, the Sajaa Bonded Dry Port is positioned to serve nearly 70% of the UAE market, providing importers with quicker access to key industrial and commercial areas. The facility is designed to handle a wide range of cargo, including dry containers, refrigerated cargo, dangerous goods and empty containers. Gulftainer said the new dry port strengthens the connection between Khorfakkan Port and inland distribution networks, helping customers improve supply chain efficiency while reducing transit times and operational costs. The launch forms part of the company’s strategy to expand integrated logistics solutions across the UAE by combining port operations with inland cargo handling and storage services.
