The shipbuilder held a steel-cutting ceremony on Monday for the first 95,000 m3 vessel ordered by Jaldhi Overseas Pte , Jiangnan said in a LinkedIn post on Monday .  The vessel design includes two 1,000 m3 deck tanks, increasing total cargo capacity to 95,000 m3. Designed to support the growing trade in green ammonia, the vessel will be capable of carrying ammonia as well as LPG cargoes such as propane and butane, offering greater flexibility for operators. Jiangnan said the vessel type is intended to meet rising demand for long-haul transportation of ammonia. It is not clear whether the vessel will be powered by ammonia. However, ammonia is seen as a potential marine fuel to help decarbonise shipping.
