The 299,500 DWT tanker, Mount Vision , was named in a ceremony on Tuesday , the shipbuilder said in a statement on its website on Thursday . The vessel is capable of running on LNG or conventional marine fuels. While LNG is becoming a more widely available alternative marine fuel than options such as methanol or ammonia, these vessels may still need to transition to lower-carbon fuels such as bio-LNG as emissions rules tighten. Bio-LNG can be used as a drop-in fuel in LNG-fuelled ships. The shipbuilder has not named the shipowner or operator details.
