Regional Container Lines (RCL) has confirmed that the container vessel Nawata Bhum has been successfully refloated following an incident on the Hooghly River in India. The incident occurred on 12 August 2026. According to the carrier, the vessel was successfully refloated on 13 August and has since resumed service. All crew members onboard are safe, with no injuries reported. RCL also confirmed that there was no damage to the cargo onboard. Following the necessary inspections and assessments, Nawata Bhum resumed its voyage. RCL said the safety of its crew, vessel and cargo remains its highest priority.
