Image Credit: EPS Fuel additive firm Sulnox has secured its largest commercial deal to date with shipping firm Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) to expand use of its bunker fuel additive across the shipowner's fleet. The four-year deal will see deployment of Sulnox Eco fuel additive increase from around 30 vessels to more than 50 , covering the supply of about 1.2 million litres of the product, the firm said in an email update on Monday .   At the same time, EPS Ventures will increase its stake in Sulnox, with its shareholding expected to rise from about 6.5% to 13.9% , subject to certain conditions. The agreement follows more than two years of trials and operational use across container ships, bulk carriers, tankers and vehicle carriers. According to Sulnox, EPS reported bunker fuel savings of 3-5% , alongside cleaner engines, lower sludge generation and reduced visible smoke emissions. EPS said the results, together with the product's ease of deployment, supported its decision to expand use of Sulnox Eco across the fleet. The wider rollout will include newbuild vessels, while the two companies will continue collaborating on projects aimed at improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
