Subsea well construction and intervention services provider AKOFS Offshore has signed a contract for one of its multipurpose service vessels (MPSV) with Brazilian state-owned oil and gas giant Petrobras. The contract, won following a competitive tender process, is for the 2009-built AKOFS Santos, previously known as the Skandi Santos. The initial contract was won in August this year, but was subject to a formal award. The contract has a duration of four years, with operations expected to commence in January 2027, following the expiry of the current contract and necessary preparations for the new engagement. AKOFS Offshore will conduct vessel operations in collaboration with its partners Bravante for marine services and IKM Subsea for ROV services. The total contract value is $246m, about $140m of which will be allocated to the company’s backlog. Adjusted for this new award, AKOFS Offshore’s total contract backlog amounts to approximately $612m as of the end of the second quarter of 2025. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsBrazil Norway
