Image Credit: Port of Tenerife The Port of Tenerife in the Canary Islands has completed its first LNG bunkering operation using tanker trucks, supplying fuel to a Balearia fast ferry. Two tanker trucks delivered 600 MWh of LNG to the Mercedes Pinto at the Anaga Dock , with a combined pumping rate of 700 litres per minute, the port said in an announcement on Thursday .  The operation was carried out by ESK . The port already handles LNG bunkering through the ship-to-ship method. The latest operation adds truck-to-ship (TTS) and multi-truck-to-ship (MTTS) options, allowing one or more trucks to supply vessels from shore. The operation followed a request from Balearia for an additional LNG supply option for its vessels in Tenerife. It involved coordination between the port authority, Balearia, ESK and other parties to establish safety and emergency procedures.
