Brazilian state-owned giant Petrobras has exercised an option for one of Noble Corporation’s semisub drilling rig. The 2009-built Noble Discoverer rig has been working for Petrobras in Colombia since June 2024, and its deal is set to end in July 2025. Petrobras’ Colombian arm has now exercised an option to extend the semisub’s contract for an additional 390 days. This extends the contract to approximately August 14, 2026. An unpriced option for an additional 400 days still remains. If exercised, this will keep the rig busy into the third quarter of 2027. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsBrazil Colombia United States
