CEVA Logistics has extended its contract with GSK for another five years. The agreement covers the management of GSK’s pharmaceutical distribution center in Robakowo, near Poznań, Poland. CEVA has operated the facility since 2012. The company said the renewed contract reinforces its role in GSK’s supply chain across Northern and Central Europe. The Robakowo hub is one of four strategic European distribution centers managed by CEVA for GSK. The network distributes around 32 million pharmaceutical products, vaccines and OTC medicines every month across 39 European markets. The Polish facility supplies 13 countries in Northern and Central Europe. It processes more than 2,900 inbound orders and over 51,000 outbound orders each month. The warehouse covers 9,830 square meters and offers 12,000 pallet positions. It includes temperature-controlled storage zones, cold storage, a GMP area and a repackaging zone. CEVA manages warehousing, distribution, order picking, packing, quality control and returns. All operations comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards. The company has also introduced automation and robotics to improve efficiency. The site uses automated bundling machines, automated code printing and scanning, and collaborative robots for repalletizing and pick-and-place operations.
