Brazilian pulp producer Suzano is set to acquire a 10% stake in Hanseatic Global Terminals Aracruz , according to local reports. The company is developing a new container terminal at the Port of Aracruz in Brazil. The planned facility will have annual capacity of 1.2 million TEU . Land linked to proposed stake According to the reports, Suzano will receive the stake in exchange for land it owns within the terminal’s development area. Hapag-Lloyd’s Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) acquired a 50% stake in the project company in mid-2026. Imetame Logistics currently holds the remaining 50%. The company has also been known as Imetame Logística Porto. The ownership structure would therefore change if the reported Suzano transaction is completed. Suzano already present at Aracruz Suzano already operates a pulp terminal at the Port of Aracruz. The new container terminal represents a major expansion of container handling infrastructure at the Brazilian port.
