Image Credit:  Marine fuel supplier Chimbusco Pan Nation 's (CPN) bunker barge has become the first vessel certified under Hong Kong 's new mass-flow meter (MFM) scheme for bunker vessels. The Zhong Ran 23 is the first vessel to be listed under the voluntary scheme, CPN said in a statement on its website on Tuesday . The certification comes under Hong Kong's Quality Bunker Operator Scheme , launched by the Marine Department on June 3 to encourage bunker suppliers to install and use MFM and improve bunker delivery accuracy and transparency. To qualify, bunker vessels must have their MFM systems inspected and certified by an accredited third-party organisation in accordance with ISO 22192 standards and meet the Marine Department's technical and operational requirements before being included on the official list of quality bunker vessels. CPN noted that it has installed and operated MFM systems on five of its bunker barges since 2015 .
