Kalmar reported higher sales and improved profitability in the second quarter of 2026, supported by stable market demand, strong cash flow and growing demand for electric equipment. The company kept its full-year guidance unchanged. Second-quarter sales increased 14% year-on-year to €480 million. Orders remained stable at €449 million, while the order book stood at €986 million at the end of June. Comparable operating profit rose 9% to €60 million, with a margin of 12.4%. Cash flow from operations before finance items and taxes increased to €82 million from €22 million a year earlier. During the first half of 2026, sales grew 10% to €899 million. Comparable operating profit increased 8% to €111 million, while profit for the period reached €83 million. Kalmar said its eco portfolio continued to expand. Sales of low-emission products increased 27% in the second quarter to €233 million, representing 48% of total sales. The company also reported stronger demand for fully electric equipment. During the quarter, Kalmar launched the TT7 EV fully electric terminal tractor for the European market. The company also marked the first anniversary of its Move2Green research and development programme, which focuses on electrification, digital services and circularity. President and CEO Sami Niiranen said customer demand remained resilient despite ongoing trade tensions and geopolitical uncertainty. He added that higher sales volumes, pricing actions and efficiency improvements helped offset the impact of tariffs. Looking ahead, Kalmar expects market demand to remain broadly stable over the next six months. The company reaffirmed its guidance for 2026, forecasting a comparable operating profit margin above 12.5%.
