Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has held a naming ceremony for its new LNG carrier, Toho Emerald. The ceremony took place at Samsung Heavy Industries’ shipyard in South Korea on 9 September 2026. The vessel is owned through a joint venture between K Line and Toho LNG Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Toho Gas. Toho Emerald will transport liquefied natural gas for global customers, including Toho Gas. Its tentative delivery is scheduled for October 2026.
