CLARKSONS PLATOU HELLAS – SnP WEEKLY BULLETIN in Weekly Shipbuilding Reports 22/05/2026 Following the ongoing strong market momentum, this week’s SnP activity has continued along the same trend. We have recorded several sales across dry segments, with a particular focus on about 15–20-year-old larger bulk carrier tonnage. Across the space, a significant number of vessels are currently receiving offers with deadlines extending into next week. One of the main talking points of the market is a 2011-built Japanese Kamsarmax calling for offers next week, for which we understand around 10 buyers have registered interest. Tankers values have remained very firm, despite a slight softening in rates compared to previous weeks. Tanker demand remains present but selective, while promptly available ECO-type wet tonnage remains scarce. Much attention was dawn to a 2012 Chinese-built MR2 achieving a price of close to USD 28m after calling for offers early in the week and receiving bids from a handful of buyers, the majority of which were reported Greek. Dry Cargo On the Capesize front, the CHIN SHAN (ABT 176K DWT, 2004, CSBC) was sold for USD 20.3m to undisclosed interests. In the Post-Panamax segment, the modern LOWLANDS TEAL (ABT 95K DWT, 2020, OSHIMA) was sold at USD 36.5m, while the three years older sister vessel LOWLANDS DAWN (ABT 94K DWT, 2017, OSHIMA) is understood committed at excess USD 31m. Further activity was recorded in the Kamsarmax sector, where the eco NORD POLARIS (ABT 82K DWT, 2016, TSUNEISHI CEBU) achieved low USD 28m. The scrubber-fitted XENIA (ABT 87K DWT, 2006, I.H.I. YOKOHAMA, SCRUBBER) was sold for USD 13m, while the PEDHOULAS COMMANDER (ABT 84K DWT, 2008, SANOYAS HISHINO) achieved a price of USD 14.7m. The PANAGIA FORCE (ABT 82K DWT, 2007, MITSUI) was sold at levels around USD 13.5m. Lastly, on the Panamax side, the PANSTELLAR (ABT 77K DWT, 2003, IMABARI) was sold at excess USD 10m.
