Gulftainer has signed a binding agreement for a strategic investment in Suksawat Terminal, located south of Bangkok in Samut Prakan on the Chao Phraya River, marking the UAE-based trade infrastructure company’s entry into Thailand. The investment represents a further step in Gulftainer’s international expansion strategy, which aims to build integrated trade infrastructure across markets with strong long-term growth potential. Suksawat Terminal serves importers and exporters across Greater Bangkok and has direct barge connectivity to Laem Chabang, Thailand’s principal deep-sea port. Gulftainer plans to invest in the terminal’s capacity, productivity and service offering, strengthening its role within Thailand’s manufacturing and distribution networks and improving connections between Bangkok, Laem Chabang and international markets. The terminal will serve customers across sectors including automotive, electronics, consumer goods, petrochemicals and food exports. The development will draw on capabilities across GT Ports, GT Logistics, GT Parks and GT Lines, integrating terminal operations, inland transport, logistics infrastructure and maritime connectivity into a comprehensive platform.
