IAG Cargo will launch a third daily service between London Heathrow and Delhi from 19 September 2026, expanding its UK-India network to 70 weekly flights this winter. The new year-round service will be operated by British Airways using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The expansion follows strong demand on the India trade lane. Between January and May 2026, IAG Cargo recorded a 12.6% increase in outbound cargo volumes from Delhi and a 14.4% rise in inbound shipments compared with the same period last year. The additional Delhi service comes alongside three daily flights to Mumbai and increased frequencies to Bengaluru. Together, these changes increase IAG Cargo’s weekly India capacity from 56 flights in 2025 to 70 flights. The announcement also follows the UK-India Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force on 15 July 2026. IAG Cargo expects the agreement to further strengthen trade between the two countries. “India is one of the most important markets in our network and demand continues to grow strongly across key trade routes,” said Camilo Garcia Cervera, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at IAG Cargo. “The introduction of a third daily London Heathrow–Delhi service, alongside recent capacity increases across our India network, provides customers with greater capacity and stronger connections through London Heathrow.” The expanded network will improve onward connectivity from London Heathrow to destinations across Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East. IAG Cargo transports a wide range of Indian exports, including pharmaceuticals, aerospace and automotive components, e-commerce shipments, garments and perishables. According to WorldACD, Indian export volumes increased 5% between January and May 2026 compared with the same period last year.
