CMA CGM will introduce an Overweight Surcharge (OWS) for dry cargo moving from the Far East to South Africa and Mauritius. The surcharge will take effect on 15 August 2026 and remain valid until further notice. Far East to South Africa CMA CGM will apply a surcharge of US$500 per 20-foot dry container when the cargo weight exceeds 18 tonnes. Far East to Mauritius CMA CGM will also apply a surcharge of US$500 per 20-foot dry container when the cargo weight exceeds 18 tonnes.
