Norway’s AF Gruppen has acquired all shares in UK‑based engineering and decom service provider Claxton from Acteon Group for £63.5m ($86m). The deal is being paid in cash from AF Gruppen’s liquidity reserves and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. The acquisition of Claxton includes a fleet of surface and subsea risers, offshore wind installation equipment, a portfolio of proprietary technologies, and approximately 400 employees. Claxton operates from hubs in Aberdeen, Great Yarmouth, Stavanger, Louisiana, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Western Australia, and mainly works on late‑life and end‑of‑life assets under day‑rate‑based contracts. The transaction also covers several other entities, including Claxton Engineering Service, Probe Manufacturing and Fabrication, and Claxton’s subsidiaries in Singapore, Australia, Norway, Abu Dhabi, and the US. Claxton will operate as an independent business unit within AF Gruppen’s offshore division. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsNorway United Kingdom
