Image Credit: BV Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) and Everllence have signed a five-year agreement covering maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation. Signed at SMM 2026 in Hamburg , the agreement will run through September 2031 , BV said in a press release on Tuesday . The companies will cooperate on alternative fuels, advanced propulsion systems and digital solutions, combining Everllence’s expertise in marine propulsion and energy systems with BV’s classification, technical assessment and regulatory capabilities. The partnership will also cover technical knowledge sharing and the development of solutions for maritime customers as technologies and regulations evolve. A joint Steering Group will meet annually to review progress and identify further areas of cooperation. Specific projects will be covered by separate agreements.
