Image Credit: Yang Ming Taiwanese container shipping company Yang Ming Marine Transport has named its third 15,600 TEU LNG dual-fuel container vessel. The vessel was named YM Wayfinder at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries ' shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea , the firm said in an update on its website on Friday.  The vessel is the third in a series of LNG dual-fuel container ships being built for Yang Ming by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. It is fitted with a high-pressure dual-fuel main engine capable of running on LNG and conventional marine fuels. The company's first two LNG dual-fuel sister ships, YM Willpower and YM Worthiness , are already in service and operate primarily on LNG. The two ships have bunkered more than 11,158 mt of LNG . According to Yang Ming, the vessel is expected to cut greenhouse gas emissions by around 20% compared with conventional marine fuels. YM Wayfinder is scheduled to begin operating on Yang Ming's Asia-North Europe FE3 service on July 1, calling at Qingdao , Ningbo , Yantian , Singapore , Felixstowe , Antwerp and Hamburg .
