MacGregor has secured an order to supply RoRo equipment for two new TT-Line battery-hybrid LNG ferries . The company signed the contracts with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. MacGregor booked the order in its second-quarter 2026 orders received. The company described the agreement as one of its most extensive RoPax equipment scopes to date. New ferries to serve Baltic Sea routes The two Green Ship 2.0 vessels will each measure 240 metres in length . Each ferry will offer 5,400 lane metres of cargo capacity and accommodation for 1,000 people. TT-Line plans to deploy the vessels on Baltic Sea routes connecting Sweden, Germany, Poland and Lithuania. The ferries will combine battery-hybrid technology with LNG propulsion. According to TT-Line, the design aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions across its Baltic operations. MacGregor expands partnership with TT-Line The latest agreement follows a project development process that began in 2021. MacGregor said it has used experience from earlier fleet projects to improve the equipment design, reliability and execution. “Equipping these vessels with high-performance, reliable cargo handling systems is essential for optimising our port turnarounds,” said Bernhard Termühlen, Managing Director at TT-Line. He added that the Green Ship 2.0 programme is a key part of TT-Line’s plans for more efficient Baltic Sea transport.
