Global Feeder Shipping has introduced a new Adriatic East-Med Service (AES) connecting Egypt with the North Adriatic ports of Koper and Venice, as reported by DynaLiners. The new service will be operated by two vessels of around 1,800 TEU and follows the rotation: Port Said – Damietta – Koper – Venice – Port Said. As part of the launch, Hapag-Lloyd will take slots on the AES service, marketing it under the name ADX. The new arrangement replaces the carrier’s previous ADX service, which relied on slot allocations from DP World Shipping Solutions’ Egypt–Adriatic service. In addition, Hapag-Lloyd has announced a new Intra-Adriatic Service (IAS), which will connect Venice, Ancona and Rijeka, further strengthening its feeder network in the Adriatic region.
