GT Lines, part of Gulftainer, has upgraded its Khorfakkan India Express (KIX 1) service to a weekly schedule, strengthening connections between West India and the Gulf. The enhanced service started on 15 July 2026. The service calls Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Khorfakkan. It operates with two vessels of 1,100-1,400 TEUs. Transit times are 3.5 days from Nhava Sheva to Khorfakkan and four days from Mundra to Khorfakkan. Through the Khorfakkan hub, customers gain access to the UAE and onward connections to key Gulf markets via the GT Lines Gulf Connect Network. Gulftainer said the service upgrade will provide more capacity, higher sailing frequency and stronger regional connectivity. The company added that the move supports faster, more reliable and better integrated trade corridors between India and the Middle East.
