ANL and CMA CGM Group will introduce new Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on several Asia-Pacific trades from 28 August 2026. The measures cover shipments to Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, Fiji, Timor-Leste and selected Australian ports. The surcharges will apply until further notice. Asia to PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Australia For shipments from Northeast Asia to Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Townsville and Gladstone, the PSS will be US$300 per 20-foot container and US$600 per 40-foot container. The same levels apply to both standard and reefer equipment. Origin Destinations 20′ 40′ Northeast Asia PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Townsville, Gladstone US$300 US$600   Higher charges will apply to cargo from Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East and Australia routed via Asia. For these shipments, the surcharge will be US$350 per 20-foot container and US$700 per 40-foot container. Origin Destinations 20′ 40′ Southeast Asia, Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Australia via Asia PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Townsville, Gladstone US$350 US$700   Asia to New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Fiji ANL and CMA CGM will also implement a PSS on shipments from Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East to New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Fiji. The surcharge will be US$250 per 20-foot container and US$500 per 40-foot container. The charges apply to all cargo types, including standard and reefer equipment. Asia to Timor-Leste and Darwin A separate PSS will apply to shipments from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East to Timor-Leste and Darwin. The surcharge will be US$225 per 20-foot container and US$450 per 40-foot container. Again, the same rates apply to standard and reefer equipment.
