CMA CGM will introduce new Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) on shipments from the Far East and Indian Subcontinent to the United States. The new charges will take effect on 1 October 2026 and remain in place until further notice. Far East-US surcharge reaches US$5,065 For shipments from the Far East, excluding Bangladesh, to the United States , CMA CGM will apply a PSS of US$3,600 per 20-foot container . The surcharge will be US$4,000 per 40-foot container and US$5,065 per 45-foot container . The charges apply to all cargo, excluding shipments to Honolulu and Dutch Harbor. Indian Subcontinent-US East Coast PSS hits US$10,000 The same US$3,600, US$4,000 and US$5,065 rates will apply to shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Bangladesh to the US West Coast . However, cargo from the Indian Subcontinent and Bangladesh to the US East and Gulf Coasts will face a significantly higher PSS of US$10,000 per unit . The new surcharge applies to all cargo types.
